After finally recovering from jetlag, we decided to take a good tour of the city. Our day started with a small brunch on Wall Street. One of New York’s oldest streets, it offers vintage charm and a lively scene that fits everyone – from city dwellers, to bankers, to tourists like us. Having finished our morning treat, we headed to Tribeca to enjoy more of the city. Among the small cafes which lined the streets, it was good to see the place in stride. . . we decided to wander through the area until we became hungry.
Our next stop was Salt, an amazing restaurant located in Soho. As soon as we walked through the door, we knew that we were going to experience something extraordinary. The food was simply amazing. The monkfish served with green bean sauce and cocktail tomatoes and home made spinach pasta made us instantly fall in love with American Nouveau cuisine. After our delightful meal, we decided to check out a few art galleries within a short walking distance. After gaining a good perspective on the tastes and sites that Soho has to offer, we decided to end our trip at Antique Garage.
With the idea of just having a drink, we had a pleasant surprise when we walked into a live jazz act that was beyond our expectations and was a eminently an splendid way to end our evening. Being in the place for a while, it made us think that we just might have visited the most stylish antique garage in all of New York.
